If you think that the most expensive real estate in Germany is in Munich or in Hamburg, you think wrong. The three most expensive streets of the country are located on the island of Sylt in the North Sea.

The most expensive Hobokenweg street has the average price of 35,000 euros per square meter! Thus, houses there cost from 10 million and more. Many celebrities have their second homes on the island.

And this despite the fact that there are no roads to the island. Nevertheless, you can get there with the car by train Niebüll, Sylt Shuttle - Westerland (Sylt). It costs about 90 euros. Coordinates of the payment point in Niebüll - N 54 46.837 E 8 50.632.

On arrival we went to the south of the island to the town of Hornum.

There we parked and strolled along the shore. On the photo, the shore looks like a typical seaside resort. Just do not forget that this is the North Sea and people here mostly just walk on the beach.

You can not go everywhere, because the island is a reserve. Basically, only the area near the water is open. Despite protection, the island continues to lose one meter of coastline per year.

In some places there are wooden platforms.

The closed territory is home for birds.

Come to Sylt not only for walks on the beach. There are many schools for surfing, good hotels and restaurants. Even the streets here are very nice, this is one of the cutest places we visited.
