Having changed several owners, in 1933 the castle passed into the hands of the National Socialist German Workers Party. Ideological architectural changes were made and the castle was used as a summer camp for the Hitler Youth.
During the period of GDR, the castle was used as a hospital for the mentally ill. After the unification of Germany, it again changed several owners who carried out a complete renovation. Now it’s a residential castle, but you can walk into the territory and the park.
