A large beach in the town of the same name, which is called Timmendorfer Strand or Beach in Timmendorf. The town is a popular resort and in the summer is as crowded as can be. We visited it in the middle of the season to see the German Baltic beach resort.

The resort was founded in 1888-1900, when several hotels were built along the coast.

Germany is not considered as a beach resort, after all, the North and Baltic Sea are quite cold. But, unlike the resorts of Estonia and Latvia, the sea is still more suitable here and in the hottest months you can swim in relatively comfortable water.

In addition to the sea, there are all the necessary resort attributes: the promenade, restaurants, cultural events, golf courses, parks, museums, sports arenas, entertainment for children, shopping and a lot of hotels.
