Cableway to Mount Babadag

Babadag Mountain is a popular place for paragliding. Previously, tourists were taken up by minibuses, and the entire region waited decades for a new ropeway. Finally, in 2021 it opened and now it is much easier to get to the top.


We climbed to a height of 1,700 meters and walked there. Although, by chairlift, you can go even higher and then reach the top (1969 m) to enjoy a 360 degree view. With a two-year-old child we were not allowed to go futher.


At an altitude of 1700 meters there is a small park, cafe and restaurant. And, of course, there are a lot of paragliders. We were there at sunset and at the end of 2022 there were no queues yet. But in the future, they will appear, consider this fact.

Getting there: paid parking is here 36.563719, 29.135369. From there you have to walk 400 meters to the lower station, or take the mini-train. The lower station is in Oludeniz, from the beach it takes 2-3 minutes by cab. From Fethiye it takes about 15 minutes by cab. The dolmus from Fethiye to Oludeniz stops here at 36.621488, 29.115249, the minibus passes the lower station.
