Christmas market in Luxembourg

The Christmas market in Luxembourg is not as large as in other well-known locations, but it has left a purely positive and pleasant impression. In 2023, there were three main Christmas locations in the city. The fourth is the ice rink at Kinnekswiss Park, however we did not go there.

The first, at the Pl. d'Armes in the old town (49.611333, 6.129472).






The second and most interesting one is at Place de la Constitution (49.609444, 6.129389). It has a Ferris wheel, but even without it, the location offers spectacular views.


















The third, on Place de Paris (49.603611, 6.131139). This is the cosiest place, there was live music, few people and no queues at the kiosks.






You can easily travel between all locations on foot or by tram. The trams in Luxembourg are excellent and free. If you are travelling overnight, look for a hotel near a tram stop and you won't need a car.






We stayed in an apartment hotel Smartflats - New Yorker (booking.com), the location is great, but there were a lot of problems with the apartments. Literally a couple of days after our visit and after we complained to booking.com, they stopped taking bookings. Check, read reviews, maybe they have already changed ownership, fixed the problems and reopened because the apartments are very nice.
