A villa from the Darrells series in Corfu

This place will be interesting to you if you have watched the TV series "The Durrells", about perhaps the most famous inhabitants of Corfu.

This is not the villa where the real Darrells lived, it is the villa where the famous British TV series was filmed. However, believe me, this villa is much more picturesque than the original (39.742222, 19.933083).

Called Villa Posillipo, it's currently rented out for 8k-24k a week, which is clearly too much, though if someone is renting it, then business is booming.

To get here, drive to the small parking lot 39.644667, 19.861167 or take bus 4 to stop 717: SOTIRIOTISSA- HOTEL KONTOKALI BAY or bus 4 or 7 to stop 752: SOTIRIOTISSA- HOTEL KONTOKALI BAY TO TOWN. Bus routes can be found here https://astikoktelkerkyras.gr/en/itineraries/.

Then walk along the shore, it's close.


You will reach this spot from where the villa is already visible.


There's a sign hanging there that says it's private property, but as everyone knows, the water can't be anyone's private property, so we just took our shoes off and walked a little further.
