In a small town of Bückeburg, in a beautiful park lies the majestic palace, the residence of Schaumburg-Lippe Princes . It was a small principality with an area of 340 square kilometers on the territory of Lower Saxony. The last of the princes abdicated in 1918.

Princely descendants now live in the palace, but some parts of the complex are open to visitors. The viewable area is gorgeous, see the pictures. The building has a 700-year history and repeatedly was under construction. For example, central facade and interior were renovated in 1732 in the early baroque style, and new outbuildings of the palace are built in neo-baroque and neo-rococo styles. This is especially noticeable in the courtyard, where different styles are present.

The greatest impression is the chapel, the hall with gold masterpiece carvings and the ceremonial (banqueting) hall where members of the princely family host visitors nowadays. You should see it for yourself.

Not far from the palace is a huge mausoleum (42 meters), one of the world's largest, privately owned, built in 1915 in the neo-romanticism style. You can go inside. The road to the mausoleum lies in a beautiful park that is full of various small animals: rabbits, squirrels, mice, birds, ducks, huge carps in the pond.

Princely Riding School is located in the palace. You can watch videos from local Riding School Hall while waiting for the tour. You can also visit this event.

In the town itself you should visit the Town Hall and the local church - one of the first Lutheran post-Reformation churches.

В 2013 году посетила сей замок, кроме зала смотреть нечего, маленький, парк большой, но в запущении, одна радость - утки
