Christmas market at the palace in Bueckeburg

From late November to early December, Bückeburg Palace hosts a Christmas market. Check the official website for the exact schedule, the tickets is better to buy online. The market is large and beautiful, but is overcrowded due to the short period.

To estimate the number of visitors, I will say that we could not get to the castle with a stroller, it was just impossible. So, take this point into account.

The market is also located on the sides of the castle, but all the most interesting happens in the courtyard. There is a huge Christmas tree, a light show, and a soloist with a children's choir sing on the balcony.












Getting there: there is a train station Bückeburg, then walk 800 meters or take the shuttle, which runs on market days. Parking is tight. Look for covered parking spots here 52.259418, 9.048316 or just on the streets.
