Rinteln is a small half-timbered town with houses in the Weser Renaissance style. Famous for its university, which was founded in 1621. The well-preserved old town is still characterised by numerous half-timbered houses. In the Middle Ages, the town was surrounded by a city wall, though we did not discover the remains of it.
