In Denmark the mountain became widely known in 1839, when the poet Sten Blicher began to hold here public meetings. At that moment it was private property and the visit was illegal. But the meetings of Blicher became so famous that the king of Denmark rented a mountain and made it accessible to all.
In 1875 a stone tower was built on the top.
Near the big parking lot there is a tourist center and a children's playground. For a foreign tourist the mountain is a nice viewpoint and a beautiful place in the nature. Here is the view from the top.
