Stebliv is a small town in the Cherkasy region, known primarily for estate museum of Ukrainian writer Ivan Nechuy-Levytsky. The museum was managed by Sergei Khavrus, chief historian and photographer of this beautiful village. Despite his age he was quite advanced, holds guided tours, uses SLR and Internet. After his death the museum is being held by his son Andriy.

As it turned out, Stebliv offers stunningly beautiful landscapes. We rarely write so enthusiastic epithets, but in this case they are correct. However, keep in mind that we were here at sunset, in autumn, and the weather was quiet and calm.

Look for church 200 meters from the museum. A viewpoint near the church offers excellent views of the Ros river. At this point the river is particularly wide due to a small HPS, which is located 1 km down the river. There's also an interesting floating bridge here.

The second and most interesting place is the HPS, probably the most scenic small hydropower plant in Ukraine. It even created a waterfall.

To the left of the station you can walk down to the falls. A little further find a wooden bridge and move across the water to an opposite bank. Then climb the hill and watch new scenery.

Getting there: There are direct buses from Kyiv, which run once a day (timetable in Ukrainian). Better solution is to go Kyiv - Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi - Stebliv. The minibuses run quite often. However, if you want to see Stebliv in evening, as we did, then go by car.
