Park Garrell

Park Garrell (Las Cabañas de Argelaguer) is a little-known place in Catalonia, we learned about it by chance, after seeing the article in the Spanish blog.

This unusual place was created by Josep Pujiula, nicknamed "Tarzan of Argelaguer". Unfortunately, he has already died. The construction took 35 years, few times the park was completely destroyed.

At first the park was destroyed by vandals. Josep was so upset that at first he decided to burn everything. But he restored the park. Due to the construction of the autobahn, part of the park was destroyed again. Josep restored everything for the second time.

In 2013, the government decided to demolish the park, since it could be dangerous for visitors. The towers can fall due to strong winds. But already in 2014 this place was recognized as a cultural sight. Although it's forbidden to enter the structures.
