Besalu

Besalú is the best small medieval town in Catalonia. It is compact and can be easily visited in a few hours. Very beautiful and romantic place, especially in the evening and in the morning, when there are no tourists.








The main attraction of the city is the Romanesque bridge of the 12th century. The tall tower in the middle of the bridge is the gate where the guards charged the fare.
