Monjo Beach (Cala d'en Monjo)

One of the most interesting beaches we have seen in Mallorca. Located in a secluded cove in the middle of the forest. The main advantage of the beach is beautiful nature and crystal clear water.


The cove is well protected by cliffs from the wind and high waves.


The beach is small, it used to be better equipped, but now it is an ordinary wild beach.


The water is excellent, but it is better to have bathing slippers with you.


The most interesting fact is that this place was completely different before. We learned about this from the movie "Evil under the Sun", which was released in 1982. Here in the cove on the hill stood an elite hotel.


Now there is no hotel, only the foundation remains.






The only thing that has remained unchanged since that time is the pier.




Getting there: parking in the forest N 39 31.866 E 2 26.143, then on foot through the forest. In order not to get lost, you can follow the road, or use Google maps or the maps.me app. We walked through the forest along the trails. The nearest bus stop is "C / Savina, 2" in the town of Peguera. It can be reached by buses 102 and 104 (map and timetable).
