The village with about 200 inhabitants.
Wooden houses
However, if you have enough power, comfortable shoes and water, we strongly recommend to climb the Storhornet mountain. It is not necessary to go to the top (497 meters), you can just visit a Johan Skytt stone (250 meters), which can be seen on the next photo. Wonderful views are waiting for you along the way up.
Hiking trails are always available in Openstreetmap (link) or in a mobile app Maps.Me, which uses them.
The trail is quite challenging
You will see the point of payment, but it is only for fishermen.
Rising to 250 meters you will see a large Alnesvatnet lake and a pointer. Continue walking along the lake to the stone.
Johan Skytt stone (Johan shooter) is the natural wonder. We have to say that the place is incredibly beautiful, but very dangerous. Stone is hanging over the abyss of 100 meters and has a width of about 1 meter, be aware of the wind.
Alnes from above
