The beach is huge, about 100 meters wide. It has all the infrastructure and even a Blue Flag. The only problem is the water temperature, which is 16-20 degrees even in the warmest months. We are not swimming in such water, but you can wash your feet. Though the beach is very suitable for surfing, capsurfing and kitesurfing.
During World War II the Atlantic rampart passed here, the Germans built a network of defensive structures. Some bunkers are still there, you can visit them. But we did not see any bunkers on the beach itself.
Getting there: There are two big paid parking lots 52.367296, 4.523405. The railway station Zandvoort aan Zee is located in the center of Zandvoort, next to the beach.
