Hague is well known by "the Hague Tribunal", however, not everyone knows where actually it is located. The city is quite large by European standards. It was badly damaged during the Second World War and later rebuilt. Now it looks more like the German cities like Hanover, than the Dutch ones.

Find here good pdf maps of Hague.

Flowers meet the tourists near the train station.

The Hague also has a chic beach Scheveningen. Actually, the city is located close to the coast, about 5 kilometers away. Use tram 1 or 11 to get to the sea, though we went on foot. The road is straight, along the tram line, through the forest and park.

If you want to visit the city on foot as well, keep in mind that it will take at least 5-6 hours and you have to go 20-25 kilometers.

Despite the nice beach, you can swim only a few weeks per year.

Getting there: The Hague has two train stations - Den Haag Centraal and Den Haag HS, they are located within a kilometer of each other, you can go to any. Travel time from Rotterdam is only 20 minutes. Airport is shared with Rotterdam, although Amsterdam Airport is close aswell and most people use it.
