We came again for a boat ride, brought the kids. Basically, nothing has changed, everything is just nice and beautiful as before. Come in the morning and you will be alone. When we sailed back, there were already some traffic jam of boats.
Thatched roofs like this are not a purely Dutch thing, they can be found everywhere near the North Sea, mostly in Germany.
You can even see how they're made

Popular tourist village, famous for it's water canals remaining in the places of peat extraction.
In the old part of the village, there were no roads, and all transport was done by water over one of the many canals. Now it's possible to walk around the village. Though we came here to ride a boat. You can park near the restaurant N 52 43.314 E 6 04.702 (paid parking), there is located boat rental. Along the main road you can park for free.
The boats are called Whisperboat (quiet boat), they are electric. The control can be learned in 5 minutes.
