Nowadays park is mostly used as a picnic area. We visited it on Sunday and saw a huge number of Maltese families with children. Here are many different unusual plants, flowers, many birds, everything is very well maintained. There is an arched gallery with a walkway on the top which offers the view of the pasr from above.
Nearby are the National Stadium, the village of artists, children's farm with animals, amusement park and a small race track.

Getting there: Buses X3 (Rabat - Airport, schedule), 202, 203 (Sliema - Rabat, schedule). Get off the bus at Ambaxxata. It's hard to understand from the bus where is the bus stop, so print a map or ask a driver to stop near the park Ta' Qali. If you want to get to Valletta, you will need to walk or go by bus to Qali Interchange (3rd stop from Ambaxxata), where on the bus stop Qali 2 take buses 51, 52 or 53 to Valletta. Check the location of Qali 2 on google maps.
