Upper Barack gardens in Valletta offers a nice view of the small towns on the southern coast of the Great harbour - Senglea (old name Isla), Vittoriosa (Birgu) and Cospicua (Bormla). These places have been selected in the Middle Ages by the Knights to built here first fortifications.
