Beautiful Tuscan landscapes from the village of Chiusure

A miniature village, hardly searchable on the Internet. It is located on a hill, and at the very top there is a small park with picturesque views. If you're looking for a place to drink a bottle of wine at sunset, this is one of the best places in all of Tuscany.

The park is located on the site of a historic 14th century fortress (Rocca Tolomei) and there is also a historic church (Chiesa di San Michele Arcangelo). The place is very quiet and cozy.








We also came here in the morning, when the the abbey of Monte Oliveto Maggiore is visible in the sunshine. Founded in 1313 by the Sienese jurist Bernardo Tolomei.
