Vitaleta Chapel

Capella della Madonna di Vialeta is one of the most charming places in the hills of Val d'Orcia. The chapel is small, framed by two rows of cypress trees, very old and according to popular belief built on the spot where Madonna appeared to the little shepherdess. The present appearance of the chapel is the result of the reconstruction and restoration of the nineteenth century.








There were some art objects near the chapel in 2021, most likely temporary.


There is a view of Pienza from the parking place.




And the road to chapel offer nice views of the Val d'Orcia.


Getting there: parking 43.070493, 11.642068, then 700 meters on foot.
