Varone waterfall, with a height of almost 100 meters, is an interesting natural landmark. It's not visible from the outside and located inside the rock. To see it, you need to go inside the grotto and then get up to one of the two viewpoints.

Getting there: The waterfall is located 3 km from the town of Riva del Garda. There are many pointers to Cascate del Varone. The nearest airports are Gabriele D'Annunzio Airport (Brescia) - 76 km, Verona Airport - 91 km, Bolzano Airport - 104 km.
The nearest railway station is Rovereto (25 km), then take a bus of the Trentino Trasporti company (schedule). There are also railway stations Desenzano and Peschiera on the southern bank of the lake. Buses of ATV connect them with Riva del Garda. Buses ##162 (schedule) and 180 go from Verona through many towns around the lake.
There are direct buses from some major cities - Verona (schedule), Venice (schedule).
Another option is to travel by ferry or pleasure boat. They depart from different towns around Lake Garda - Desenzano, Peschiera, Maderno, Torri del Benaco, Limone (in summer), Malcesine (in summer). The timetables can be viewed or downloaded here or here.
