There is no infrastructure on the beach, it is a wild beach. Perhaps in the summer there are some kiosks with food. The sand is white and fine.
Of course, the beach looks so beautiful only from a bird's eye view. Tourists usually see it like this.
But, nevertheless, there is a way to see the beach from above. On the previous photos you can see the mountain behind the beach. At its summit are the ruins of the old Venetian castle Paleokastro (1287), which offers a great view.
The castle played an important role during the Greek Revolution. From the 15th century the peninsula was under the control of the Ottoman Empire. To control the entire territory, the Turks placed their garrisons in many Venetian castles and fortresses along the coast. In 1821, the Greek rebels seized the castle after a three-month siege. There was no fight, as the rebels were poorly armed. But they managed to block the castle.
A map of the hiking trails around the beach and to the castle can be found here.
Getting there: only by car or taxi. The nearest town is Pylos, find here how to get there. You can drive to the beach by car (N 36 58.008 E 21 39.664). If you only want to go up to the castle, then you can drive here N 36 57.147 E 21 39.680.
