A beautiful historic monastery and a nice place for a walk. Was founded in 1225, although the modern buildings date back to the XVII century. There are many flowers and cats on the territory and the monastery itself is located on the top of a cliff, in a picturesque place.

We arrived in the morning and were alone in the monastery. At lunchtime there will be crowds of tourists there. Be sure to visit the viewpoint near the big cross.

Getting there: by bus to Paleokastritsa, then walk to the top. There is a parking lot near the monastery 39.670833, 19.701722 and in the morning it was empty. But in the afternoon the road can be closed to cars, then park at the bottom.
