Wurmberg in the Harz mountains

A great place for a family day-off, the mountain about 1 km high, the highest in Lower Saxony. You can reach the top by cable car (https://www.wurmberg-seilbahn.de/).

In 2022, there was a bug problem and a drought, so many trees in the Hartz Mountains lost color.

Getting there: the lower station is in the town of Braunlage, parking 51.731123, 10.612572. Braunlage can be reached by bus from the train stations Bad Harzburg, Goslar, Bad Lauterberg and Walkenried. The main route is the bus from Bad Harzburg.
