Wolfcenter in Doerverden

There are a lot of different private zoos and animal centers in Germany. One of them is located near Bremen, in the small town Dorverden. In 2005, its founders Frank and Christine went to Canada and in 4 weeks saw a lot of wild wolves at various locations. And after visiting the wolfcenter in Golden (Canada), they decided to left their jobs and create own wolfcenter in Germany.

Now it is a zoo with very large enclosures, which are located in the middle of the forest. Here live dozen of wolves.












Be sure to see the feeding (10:30, 14:30 and 16:30) as this the most interesting part. Lovely wolfs become real beasts, it's scary to watch them even outside the fence.


A distinctive feature of the center are the windows in the fence (Fotoklappen). The keys can be bought at an extra cost (10 euros per hour or 30 per day). Thanks to these windows we managed to shot nice pictures.


The wolfcenter also has a mini-hotel for those who want to sleep in the company of wolves. Although the prices are very high.
