The village of Tuchersfeld is located in a mountainous area called Franconian Switzerland. Its main feature is a 150 million years old fossilized reef.

A second reef rises above the village, you can climb up and look at the village from above. The trail starts from the parking lot, though it was closed during our visit.

The village is beautiful and small, you will go around it in half an hour. In the half-timbered houses around the central reef is a museum of Franconian Switzerland.
