Radau waterfall

A beautiful waterfall located right next to one of the main trails in the Harz Mountains. There is a restaurant and a small rest area near the waterfall.

The waterfall was artificially created back in 1859. Even then, the region attracted tourists, and its center was the town of Bad Harzburg, located 2 kilometers away. For hiking vacationers and for the further development of the region it was decided to create a new waterfall and a new channel was created from the Radau river, about 500 meters away from the waterfall.
