Hubersburg palace (castle) was built in 1721 by Prince Frederick Augustus. It became famous in 1763 after signing the Hubertusburg Peace Treaty, which stopped the seven-year war between Austria, Prussia and Saxony. Since 1834 there was a prison, a hospital for incurable mental patients and other hospitals.
