The highest point of the island of Rügen. The tower was built from 1869 to 1877 in honor of the German poet Ernst Moritz Arndt, who devoted his works to the beauty of the island.

From May to October from 10 to 18 you can climb the tower (€ 1.50).

There is a forest park around the tower. The park has a toboggan and quite extreme slides.

Getting there: parking N 54 25.299 E 13 26.467. Railway station Bergen auf Rügen, then 2 km on foot.
