Bad Oeynhausen is a small town that no one heard of. You don't expect anything from it, but it will surprise you.
There is a luxury park in Bad Oeynhausen. The reason is simple: it's the thermal spa area and the park is called the Kurpark (Resort Park). Since 1830 Baron Karl von Oeynhausen had been searching for salt deposits here. In 1845 he accidentally found a hot spring. Within a few years the land was bought from local farmers and royal baths were built.
The park and the baths were expanded and currently there are fountains, beautiful palaces, theater, rabbits, a huge number of flowers. Visit this place, you won't regret.
