Mount Nebelhorn, which is 2,224 meters tall, is located near the Bavarian town of Oberstdorf. From the town you can reach the top by a cable car. Nebelhorn viewing platform offers one of the best views in German Alps.
From the top station, many tourists walk to the middle station. We did the same and saw different picturesque scenery.
The mountain gave the name to annual international figure skating competition that takes place in Oberstdorf: Nebelhorn Trophy. Also a popular winter resort is located here, and the route from the top, 7.5 km in length, is the longest in Germany.
On the hillside, we managed to find groundhogs. So, if you go down, look around, there's a lot of groundhogs.
