Interpretation center on the San Cristobal island

Interpretation center on San Cristobal is an institution for dissemination of knowledge about the Galapagos Islands. It provides information about the history, the present, ecological problems, unique animals inhabiting the island.

Here lives Pepe, big and fat turtle :). Pepe has its caretaker and he trusts only him.

In the center you will find many historical photographs and various cognitive information. For example, you can look at the structure of the ocean floor around the islands.

Getting there: Interpretation center is located in 20 minutes walk from the center of San Cristobal. Opening times from 7 to 12 and from 13:30 to 17.
