We came to Novohrad-Volynskyi for 30 minutes to see the remains of the Zvyagilska Fortress (1507). The remains are tiny, but in good condition, because the castle was reconstructed due to the 750th anniversary of the town. From the walls there is a good view of the Sluch river.

Getting there: Novohrad-Volynskyi is located on a major Kyiv-Chop highway between Zhytomyr and Rivne. You can get there from the Kyiv central train station by any bus in the Rivne direction. Besides, many trains to Lviv pass the town.
