Bukovel is the best ski resort in Ukraine. However, we visited it in summer 2007, when it was under construction. But even then it was obvious that it was a very nice place. Although the prices are very high. Most people stay in villages and towns nearby.
Bukovel is also open in summer. You can rise to the mountains in a cable car and enjoy spectacular Carpathian landscapes. There are also trails for mountain biking and hiking as well as recreational facilities.
We took a cable car to observe the panorama. When the weather is good, you can see the highest mountain in Ukraine, Hoverla (2061 m).

On September 1, 2012 the first five-star hotel Radisson Blu Resort was opened in Bukovel.
