Shypit is one of the most known waterfalls in Ukraine. It should be visited in spring when snow melts in the Carpathians. The number of tourists is high, so if you are not with an organized group, try to be there either in the morning or in the evening.
The approach to the waterfall is in excellent condition: there are signs, paved paths and wooden bridges. Besides, there is a place to eat. Several years ago a ski lift appeared nearby, so the waterfall is visited in winter as well.
Getting there: By train or by bus from Lviv to Stryi, then to Podobovets or Volovets. From these villages you can walk (10 km from Volovets, 3 km from Podobovets) or take a minibus to the waterfall. There is also a bus from Volovets to the waterfall ($3).
