Ukrainian tousrists know Antalya very well. This is one of the most popular tourist destination in Ukraine. Everyone who fly to the southern coast of Turkey, land at the local airport.
Tip: If you stay at a beach hotel in Turkey and is offered a tour to Antalya, always ask about conditions. Almost every such tour it is 5 hours of shopping and 1 hour visit to old town and Duden waterfall :)
Antalya city is quite large, it is home to more than a million people. Much of the city looks like this:
The main places of interest for tourists are located along the sea. 99% of all tourists come to the old town - Kaleici which is located around port of the Roman era. Now it is marina for yachts. The whole place is picturesque and the old town itself is beautiful, with many architectural monuments.
Description of the places on the previous map can be found here.
Another beautiful and interesting place we visited is Duden Falls (Lower Düden Waterfalls, on the map). Sometimes it is called Karpuzkaldiran Waterfalls. Waterfall is unusual because it is located right in city and falls into the sea. There is a great observation deck near it. You can get there by bus from the center, look for buses with destinations "Guzeloba", "Ornekoy" or "TRT". You can also arrive by pleasure boat from the harbor in the center.
There are also Upper Düden Waterfall (on the map). It can be reached by bus VC30.

Getting there: Antalya Airport (aytport.com) is the main air gateway of southern Turkey. Taxis to the city center cost $25. Havaş Buses run every hour and cost $5. There is also a city bus 600 which costs $1. To catch the public bus from the International Terminal you have to go to the domestic terminal (300m, just turn right when you leave the International Terminal), there is a small blue "D" sign next to a larger ficus tree. The blue "D" sign next to the taxi stand in front of the International Terminal won't get you anywhere; waiting there usually attracts taxi drivers (telling you truthfully: "There is no bus leaving here!") offering a ride.
