Almeria is a resort city on the southern coast of Spain. It is very similar many other resorts along the sea and therefore the one and only attraction here is the beach. Most of the buildings are new, so if you are fan of the beautiful architecture then go to another place.
We came to the city about 15:00 and could not found where to eat. Absolutely all the cafes and restaurants serve food only after 20:00. We had to buy sandwiches at the supermarket and have lunch on the beach. However, it should be said that in September, there were almost no tourists, perhaps this is the case. So Almeria great place for a beach holiday in the second half of September, you will be virtually alone.
Basically we walked along the promenade, it is the best place in Almeria.
There is an inetersting object right on the promenade - some old construction for loading goods on ships.
Cathedral of Almeria.
There are not much beautiful houses in the old town.
The most beautiful street in the city is a boulevard Calle Belen.
As for me, not the best solution for the park.
Evening promenade is beautiful.
Near the pier we found dozens of cats. However, as in the rest of Spain, they are afraid of people.
Getting to Almeria
Almeria has an airport. Also in the city center there is a railway station, which is combined with a bus station. The bus service is best to Malaga and Granada.
