In the cave you will go first on a train and then on foot. It is curious that in 1872, when the world's first cave railway was laid here, the cars were pushed by guides manually. Now they are electric.
Electric lighting was carried out in the cave back in 1884 by decree of Franz Joseph, the Emperor of the Austrian Empire. Earlier than in Ljubljana or Kyiv.
The problem of the cave is its popularity, even in low season we had to wait a long time. Queues were outside and inside the cave.
Getting there: large paid parking N 45 46.885 E 14 12.179. From the Postojna train station (https://www.slo-zeleznice.si/en) you have to walk for 20 minutes. There are buses from Ljubljana directly to the cave and to the bus station in the center of the town, run every hour (https://www.ap-ljubljana.si/en/). From the bus station continue on foot for 10 minutes.
