Bike Path in Porto

Porto, in general, is not a cycling city, which is not surprising, taking into attention the topography. However, it has a very nice bike path, running along the ocean.


We rented bikes from Vieguini - Bike & Scooter Rental (R. Nova da Alfândega 7). They are located on the waterfront, within the old city. We recommend this point, as bikes here are well mantained. Prepare to drive a little along the tram tracks. From the point of hire to the end point is about 7.5 km (15 km in both directions), which is suitable for everyone.


The architecture here is quite different from the historical center, mostly here are typical for southern Europe apartment houses.


But there are also villas


Cycling along the ocean is a pleasure.




Some new facility, which was reconstructed in recent years, may be museum.


Endpoint of the route is located near the fort. It offers a beautiful view of the coast and surfers.
