Over time, Portugal has completely lost its important place in the world, but the old good times are not forgotten, and therefore a grandiose monument was built in this symbolic place.
The map of discoveries
We came here early in the morning and walked along the waterfront, as it's very beautiful during sunrise.
Tower of Belem, symbol of Lisbon, is full of tourists during the day, but in the morning no one is here. The tower was built in the years 1515-1521, in honor of the opening by Vasco da Gama sea route to India.
The area is small, it is easy to get around on foot. We just walked on the waterfront, but Belem has many other interesting places.
