Textile center Awana Kancha is located on the road from Cuzco to Pisac. It was interesting to us as a seminary for llamas. Or it's better to say camelids, which are divided into camels, llamas and vicunas (alpacas). There is a mini-museum near the entrance where you can find this information.

Quite interesting is that all these vicunas (small, mostly brown), alpacas (mean, fluffy) and llamas (large) can be fed with a specially prepared grass. And they eat it with great pleasure.

Admission is free, but you can be some souvenirs as a payment for a visit. Also it is possible to visit a souvenir and textile center. Awana Kancha is located along the road, entrance from Cusco side, exit on the opposite side.
