Steinsdalsfossen Falls is one of the most visited in the country, despite the fact that the water drop height is only 20 meters, which is not too much for Norway. It was formed in 1699 when the river changed its course. It is interesting first of all because of the trail that passes between the waterfall and the rock.
There are two interesting facts about this waterfall. German emperor Wilhelm II visited it every summer from 1889 to 1914, before the World War I. And in 2000 at the World Exhibition in Hannover, the Norwegians built the installation, central part of which was a 15-meter model of Steinsdalsfossen.
Water that runs in a waterfall is the same as the famous water Voss, which is the most expensive in the world. Norwegians created a nice business, they sell a pint of water for $35. But since it was a little rain and I slipped, I had no other choice than to wash my sweater in this "golden" water :)
Getting there: The nearest town is Norheimsund (3 km), 61 km to Bergen. Buses ##925 (schedule) and 930 (schedule) pass the waterfall in the area between Eikedalen and Norheimsund. PDF map of the region can be viewed here.
