The Butterfly Park in Kuala Lumpur is the largest in the world. It has 5,000 live butterflies. All butterflies fly freely and land on the visitors. Besides them there are other animals, such as fish or reptiles, as well as a funky museum with various living and non-living insects of different sizes.

Getting there: The butterfly park is located in the city park Lake Gardens, 600 meters from the National Mosque (Masjid Negara) and 1 km from the Merdeka Square. We walked from the square, past the mosque, check the Google map below. There's a bus
B112 from the central station (bus stop Dayabumi, Jalan Tun Sambanthan), then walk to the park past the National Mosque. You can come by the KTM Komuter train to the stop Old Kuala Lumpur Railway Station, then walk to the park past the National Mosque. The easiest way is to take a taxi.
