It was built in 1663 on the site of a more ancient structure of 1225. Earthen ramparts are now significantly reduced, and during the Thirty Years War (1618-1648) they reached the second floor.
The castle was built far from the existing settlements, so the architecture is simple. The moats were created not for defense, since in those years such fortifications were already outdated, but simply as an element of the Baroque style.
At the moment there is a golf course around the castle. It belongs to the ancient Count family. You can visit the castle on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 14 to 17. On the territory you can walk freely.
