The observation deck on the tower of the Church of St. Martins in Hanover

St. Martinskirche in Hanover is one of the oldest Evangelical Lutheran churches in the city and is an important historical and architectural landmark in the Linden district. The first Christian buildings on this site date back to the 13th century. A Baroque church was later built on their basis in 1728, but during World War II the main building, with the exception of the tower, was almost completely destroyed by bombing.

In the post-war period, a new church building was constructed (1955-1957), where the original tower complex was retained and the interior received a modern treatment using concrete, glass and stone.
