An excellent family park in Magdeburg, covering about 100 hectares, which we recommend. It was created for the 1999 garden festival and, so far, we haven't visited a better place in Germany to hold such festivals, though we've visited quite a few. This is most likely due to the fact that the scale of festivals has decreased recently.

In addition to this there are quite a large number of attractions. The Millennium Tower features an exhibition on 6,000 years of human history. The tower itself can be climbed as a viewing platform. And from the very top you can take a long zipline ride.

The most interesting one is not to be missed. It's easily recognisable by the chic tower with slides, which will appeal not only to children but also to adults.
