Airlift in Berlin (Berlin High Flyer)

Not far from Checkpoint Charlie at the corner of Wilhelmstraße and Zimmerstraße in Berlin is a curious attraction: an airlift. A balloon takes you up to a height of 150 meters with stunning views of the city. Taking into account that you are not behind glass, it is likely that this observation deck is even better than the TV Tower.

When the balloon is at the maximum height, even with a little wind you can feel it swing from side to side. The pilot immediately explains that the visitors may not worry and this attraction is safe even if the rope breaks. But even if the ball goes down, nobody knows where it will land.

Getting there: The airlift is located at the corner of Wilhelmstraße and Zimmerstraße, in a five-minute walk from the Stadtmitte, Kochstraße or Potsdamer Platz metro stations.
