The project appeared with the idea of ??the German Frederik Brown, who decided to build the biggest miniature railway in the world during his visit to Zurich. Determined to realize a childhood dream, he pulled into the case his twin brother Gerrit. The idea was risky and very expensive. The first models (Harz, Knuffingen and Austria) were open to the visitors in 2001. With the development of technology and increased budget, the authors realized a potential hiding behind their initiative.
Now it is not just a railway, although trains are everywhere. Many visitors will be shocked, as the scale of the construction is really impressive. Even more amazing are technologies that are behind this miracle.

In 2010 was finished airport - the most grandiose layout in the museum with a construction cost of about 3 million euros. The result is a unique model with moving vehicles, flying airplanes and even a schedule!
Just imaging more than 1,000 moving trains, hundreds of thousands of figures of people, ten thousand of cars. Many cars also move autonomously. However, most visitors only see the facade of the layout. To go behind the curtains you have to take a private tour (unfortunately in German).
Between the walls and the layout there is a small space.
The width of the layout is about 3-4 meters, so it's not possible to see even half of it from one side.

Also, only in the tour you can see dozens of naked models in a variety of places.

Really?
And of course the back side of the Airport.
The biggest problem is the number of visitors. Therefore, come only before the opening, watch the layout for 2 hours and then go on an hour-long guided tour.
